Terms of Service — PDF Suite

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of (a) the PDF Suite Editor Chrome extension and (b) the PDF Suite Web Tools at pdfsuite.zalize.com (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
The Service provides tools to view, edit, annotate, sign, convert, split, merge, compress, and OCR PDF files. Processing happens locally in your browser; we do not receive or store your files (see the Privacy Policy).
2. Free tier and Pro subscriptions
- The free tier is subject to daily usage limits per tool, shown before you start a task. Limits reset at 00:00 UTC.
- Pro plans remove usage limits and unlock Pro features. Current pricing is shown at checkout and on the pricing page.
- Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record ("MoR"). Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record for your transaction: its terms apply to the payment itself, and it handles payment processing, invoicing, and applicable sales tax/VAT collection and remittance.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time via the link in your receipt email or by contacting support; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy (7-day money-back guarantee).
3. Licenses
- We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service.
- A Pro license key may be activated on up to 3 devices. Keys may not be shared, resold, or published. We may revoke keys that are refunded, charged back, or abused.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- process documents you have no legal right to process;
- attempt to circumvent usage limits (e.g., automated quota resets, forged refund calls) or license checks;
- probe, disrupt, or overload the Service or its APIs;
- use the Service to violate any law, including data protection law applicable to documents you process.
You are solely responsible for the documents you process and for verifying outputs (e.g., OCR text, extracted bank statement tables) before relying on them.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors. Your documents remain yours; because they never reach our servers, we claim no rights in them.
6. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. OCR AND DATA-EXTRACTION RESULTS ARE AUTOMATED AND MAY CONTAIN ERRORS; THE SERVICE IS NOT FINANCIAL, ACCOUNTING, TAX, OR LEGAL ADVICE. YOU MUST VERIFY EXTRACTED DATA (INCLUDING BANK STATEMENT AND INVOICE DATA) BEFORE USE.
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR USD 10 FOR FREE-TIER USERS). NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW, INCLUDING STATUTORY CONSUMER RIGHTS IN YOUR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Sections 5–9 survive termination.
9. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify the Service or these Terms; material changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service (Pro users may request a pro-rata refund if a change materially reduces functionality).
10. Governing law
