FAQ

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Edge detection, perspective correction, enhancement and PDF assembly all run locally in your browser — photo bytes never leave your device.

What if edge detection is wrong?

Every page has an "Adjust" button to drag the four corners manually. If the detection engine fails to load, the tool degrades to a manual rectangular crop and keeps working.

Is the scanned PDF searchable?

Camera scans produce an image-based PDF. For searchable/copyable text, run the result through the Chinese OCR tool afterwards.

Why is the first use slow to load?

The edge-detection engine (OpenCV, ~9MB) loads on demand the first time and is cached afterwards; you can start shooting while it loads.

Can I trust the processing engine?

Yes — and you can verify it: the tool runs on open-source in-browser engines (pdf-lib, pdf.js, Tesseract OCR…) on your own device. Open DevTools → Network while processing and you will see no file upload requests.
