Product updates

Every entry maps to a real shipped change (dates are deploy dates). Want to try something new? Browse all tools →

  1. Redundant AI engine failover + this updates page

AI translate/summary/chat now fail over to Cloudflare Workers AI when the primary channel is down, so AI never goes silently unavailable; the ops console flags degraded runs. Also shipped: this updates page, source→target dual icons on conversion tool cards, and a home update card.

  2. Derived output filenames + blog copy-as-Markdown

Downloads from merge/convert/scan tools are now named after your source files (no more generic output.pdf); blog posts gained copy-link and copy-as-Markdown buttons.

  3. Trust center in all 8 languages + live offline status bar

The /trust privacy & security center now covers es/pt/de/fr/ja/ko; the tool-page offline bar became a live three-state indicator: green = engine cached and usable offline, amber = this tool needs the network, auto-recovering when back online.

  4. Short links: 9 alias slugs like /merge-pdf now redirect

Nine high-frequency alias slugs (merge-pdf, compress-pdf, pdf-to-excel, …) × 8 languages now 301 to the right tool page, so old links and hand-typed short URLs land correctly.

  5. Works offline: PWA with a local quota mirror

Local tools with cached engines keep working offline: quota is consumed against a local mirror and reconciled with the server on reconnect; previously visited pages open offline.

  6. Free PDF MCP server launched

A standard Model Context Protocol endpoint at /mcp: AI agents like Claude, Codex and Cursor can merge, split, rotate and compress PDFs directly — no API key, no signup, failed jobs auto-refund quota.

  7. Layout-preserving full-document translation

AI translation now replaces text block-by-block on the original page, keeping vector graphics, images and fonts (bold lines stay bold); encrypted/rotated pages honestly fall back to an image backdrop.

  8. 46 tools: grayscale, N-up, flatten, remove blank pages & more

Two batches of new tools: extract images, metadata editor, resize pages, compare PDFs, grayscale, N-up imposition, flatten forms, remove blank pages — all processed locally, in 8 languages.

  9. AcroForm PDF form filling

Detects text, checkbox, radio and dropdown fields automatically; fill and export locally in your browser, with optional flattening.

  10. Chrome extension MVP ready (free beta)

The extension for opening, viewing and annotating PDFs locally is code-complete with store materials prepared — free during beta, pending developer-account review submission.
